is it correct that i sence a loss of sound quality in the new build?i've added an option in the latest cvs to alter the headroom used by xbmc. it defaults to 6db which was the old defaults before the high quality sampling stuff was added in. high quality sampling should still produce better audio.
people with analog output have found that in some systems it causes clipping, thus the "low sound quality". the 6db default headroom value should fix this.
please test the latest cvs.i don't know, do you?
sound quality is something that only you can detect yourself.moving to the "bug discussion".
please post in the right forum. ;)i recently installed xbox_media_center_2004-04-19_build-proper-ind, and i also experience a loss in sound quality both in videos and music.. i have tried to change to high quality resample, but with the same result.heh, right - i think i do. is it a bug, or is it only me? will the high quality resampling option change anything? it sounds like there's a lot mot treble, which dosn't work to well with my mp3s.yeah, i have also noticed a reduction in the sound quality in the 2004-04-19 release.
by turning high quality smapling on it makes some things even worse, but no apparent improvement. there was a fix in the general section where you can reduce the volume amplification by -6db and that might fix it, hope that helps?#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
