MS Dash for DVD player?

  • i saw a recent thread where someone mentioned using the m$ dash for playing dvds from within xbmc.

    is this possible? would it simply require setting the "dvd player" path in the xboxmediacenter.xml to point to the m$ dash .xbe?

    or, should i copy the m$ dash .xbe to the xbmc dir, rename it, and point to it from there?

  • i figured it out. i've been so focused on xbmc, i've not paid any attention to other aspects of xbox modding! sorry for the "panic post."

    for those having problems with xbmc's dvd support, i strongly suggest you try using the ms dash w/ progressive scan hack. it's pathetically easy to do, i had it up and running in less than 5 minutes. and, the progressive output from the hacked ms dash looks gorgeous.
