Upgrade mySQL through WHM ?

  • I Have now MySQL version 4.0.25 running on WHM control Panel.

    I read that , there is an esay and saftly way tp upgrade MySQL to 4.1.X

    any body would advice me ?


  • I've had bad luck upgrading programs through the WHM. I manually do all that myself now. :(


  • Since I am not having a problem with 4.0.27-standard I choose not to upgrade to the 4.1 series at the present time. My forums are fast and I don't see anything that I am missing out on right now.


  • Select to use 4.1 in the main WHM settings and follow the instructions.

  • In WHM: Server Configuration->Tweak Settings, you can choose the MySQL version you want to use.

    I suggest you read the instructions carefully, and maybe check on the cPanel forum before you start.
