Why do people hate God?

  • I don't think people hate God, I think they don't know God. If you don't believe in something, you can't hate it, because to you it does not exist. And in the absence of a conscious (God), then there are all types of vile things humans do to one another.

    People who kill in the "name of God" do not truly believe in God, or they would not kill. The study of God should bring peace, not violence.

    ....and I dont. In fact,I dont believe in Him, im not religious.


  • Because people like control. Many claim to be Atheist...but then spend most their time bashing God and his people. I find it more reasonable that they just hate God and want to believe he's not real because it would take a lot of power away from them. An almighty being that created everything can be quite an intimidating thought.

    To the Atheists, please have some respect for some people's belifs in God. Because you don't believe, doesn't mean YOU have the right to stamp out our belifs aswell.

    -If you were walking on a heath and saw a watch on the ground you would assume that its parts had not come together by chance because it is too ordered and complicated. Therefore someone must have designed it or it would not work.
    Because the universe is also ordered and complicated, someone must have designed that too. That 'someone' is God.
    -Everything has to come from something. You cannot make something out of nothing.
    Therefore there must have been a â ˜First Causeâ ™ that created the â ˜somethingâ ™ (the universe). That First Cause is God.
    -Some people say that everyone knows the difference between â ˜rightâ ™ and â ˜wrongâ ™. They describe this as having a sense of morality.
    This sense of morality has to come from somewhere, and the only possible source is God. Therefore God exists.

    Enough proof for ya?

  • Most often it is because they have been misinformed/mislead combined with the fact that they have never read anything to confirm the 'gossip' they have been fed & so take things for granted without ever picking up a Bible themselves.

    So for those who have been fed such misleading dribble might I suggest you check out a speaker by the name of Louie Giglio & his DVD titled 'How Great is Our God'.

    He is an inspiring speaker who will challenge every misleading lie you have ever believed about God,Creation & where we fit into it all.

    Very eye opening & I would challenge anyone who has ever doubted the existance & greatnest of God to check it out.

    Start a new Christmas tradition and buy it for someone ( or better still pick up a copy & watch it with them.).

  • not so much hate as you cant hate some that doesn't exist but frustrated that superstitious nonsense like god has any place in the world. this foolishness effects morals and education and spreads nonsense that is non logical and non rational


  • because they think that he's treating them unfairly, and they feel as if they have no one to blame their problems on, so they blame God. they just don't want to blame themselves. God doesn't cause problems. people do.

    Some people who don't know Him very well are scared of Him and some get angry with Him for things they blame Him for.

    One can only hate someone one knows...and if one knows God, you can only love & worship Him.

  • I was raised in a Protestant church and consider myself a Christian and a believer of God, however, I do have my doubts. When you see the 2004 tsunami or Katrina or school shootings or 9/11 or starving children you wonder why God didn't do something about it. Christians say all things are God's will and people (including me) just don't understand why those kind of things would be God's will. There's this great song by They Might Be Giants called "Dear God" and basically it's asking about why does all this bad stuff happen Especially to innocent people. Then idiots like Pat Robertson blame the gay parades for the hurricanes in Florida (funny he didn't mention Isabel which hit Virginia Beach pretty hard) But anyway I think it's because of all the bad things that happen to people for no reason. How could a loving God let people suffer and die?
